Inpatient cases with a length of stay less than two midnights may warrant additional review, as Medicare short stay cases are under scrutiny from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Our team will perform a retrospective audit within three business of receiving a Medicare Short Stay Chart Audit Review request, which not only provide another layer of quality review, but also identifies where additional education may be needed.
